Entry Guidelines:
What are the entry guidelines?
- Posters must depict an Earth Day theme i.e. Composting, Recycling Tips, Earth Day Every Day, Waste-Free Lunches, Energy Conservation, Recycling in School, etc.
- Posters must be on paper measuring 8.5” x 11”.
- All forms of art are acceptable i.e. marker, crayon, charcoal, watercolor, original graphic design art, etc. BE CREATIVE!
- All entries must contain the following: Artist name, grade level, and school name. No artist’s name may appear on the front of the poster. One entry per artist, please.
- Posters will be judged based on a) Best Use of Theme b) Originality and c) Creativity
- Deadline to submit artwork is April 27, 2016.
- Winners will be announced May 2, 2016.
Who is eligible?
- Open to all students in grades 4 & 5 in the East Providence School District.
What will I win?
- The top four winners from each grade will win a $25 gift card to United Skates or Sky Zone. Contest is sponsored by MTG/Mega Disposal & the City of East Providence.
- Your artwork will be proudly displayed in City Hall for the entire month of May.
How do I submit my entry?
- Turn your artwork into your teacher.
- Deliver your artwork to the Department of Public Works Building at 60 Commercial Way.
- Mail submission to: DPW, 60 Commercial Way, EP, RI 02914, Attn: Donna McMahon
