3/2/2011 - Rebuilding Together Project

Rebuilding Together Providence preserves affordable homeownership for low income families and stabilizes the neighborhoods in which they live. Providing for free repair services to those with the greatest need by brining volunteers and leadership partners together to make a sustainable impact in the community.

Rebuilding Together will be in the City of East Providence on April 30th between the hours of 8am-4pm. Currently, the event is in need of skilled and unskilled laborer volunteers for this event, they will accept any time you can donate during the course of the day. Immediately following the event a barbeque will be held at the RI Community Food Bank featuring the Broadway Bad Boys from the East Providence Fire Department!

Unskilled Labor includes:
Planting flowers
General cleaning

Mayor Rogers asked that if East Providence residents are in need of upgrades to their homes to apply for the below program.  Applications are availalbe in the City Clerk's office on the 1st floor of City Hall or able to download via the below link.  April 30, 2011 will be the rebuilding day across the US.
