6/19/2015 - Ten Mile River Ribbon Cutting

Today marked the official celebration of a 10+ year long project that will now give access to the migration of herring and shad from the Bay, up the Ten Mile River, and into the Turner Reservoir.  "This is a unique environmental project that the City can be proud of" - Wayne Barnes of EP Planning stated.   The project is to restore anadromous fish populations to the lower Ten Mile River up to the Golf Club Dam in Pawtucket, RI. 

Many official leaders were in attendance to cut the ribbon at the Hunts Mills Dam site today including Senator Jack Reed, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Congressman David Cicilline, Colonel Christopher Barron, DEM Director Janet Coit, Buck Sutter, EP City Manager Paul Lemont, Keith Gonsalves, Wenley Ferguson, Anne Maxwell-Livingstone, EP Planning, and many more.
