Earth Day Event & Clean Up - Volunteers Needed!

 The City of East Providence Department of Public Works, Refuse/Recycling Program, and the Crescent Park Carousel Preservation Association will be holding a Earth Day Event and Cleanup at the Crescent Park Carousel grounds and Rose Larisa Park. The Earth Day Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 25th with a rain date of May 2nd. Start time is 9:00am to 1:00pm (approx.). Stop by the Earth Day booth at the carousel entrance for information about water conservation and stormwater prevention. Keep our Environment Clean Coloring books will be available. Come and learn how the use of rain barrels can help you save money and still maintain beautiful summer gardens and lawn along with other ways to protect the environment. 

Volunteers needed!!

Please consider volunteering for the grounds clean up, even if just for an hour or two! Help needed to pick up litter and debris, tending to existing flower beds, removing weeds, sweeping and cleaning of walkways, etc. Work gloves and bags available at the Earth Day booth. Scout troops or teens with service projects are welcome to join us, to complete service hours.
