Key dates for Voter & Candidates in the 2010 Elections:
Dates that affect Voters:
June 16, 2010 - Last day for registered voters to change their party affiliation before the September primary.
August 14, 2010 - Last day for people to register to vote in order to cast a ballot in the September primary.
September 14, 2010 - Primary Election
October 2, 2010 - Last day for people to register to vote in order to cast a ballot in the November election.
Novermber 2, 2010 - General Election
Dates that affect Candidates:
April 1, 2010 - Any one wishing to run for office must affiliate with one of the three state's recognized parties - Democrat, Republican or Moderate.
May 28, 2010 - Deadline to register to vote in order to file a declaration of candidacy
June 28, 29 and 30, 2010 - Candidates must officially announce their intention to run for office by filing declaration of candidacy papers with the Canvassing Office from 8am to 4pm on these specific dates.

July 7 through July 16, 2010 - Candidates must collect signatures of enough eligible voters to officially put their name on the ballot.
