HOLIDAY RUBBISH COLLECTION
East Providence, RI, The East Providence Public Works Department, Recycling/Refuse Division announces that all household rubbish and yard waste collections this week will be delayed one day for the reminder of the week. Regularly Monday collections will be Tuesday, November 12, 2013, Tuesday will be Wednesday, Wednesday will be Thursday, Thursday will be Friday and Friday will be collected on Saturday. This new holiday policy went into effect on September 1, 2013.
Regular collections will resume on Monday, November 18th. (Please note the week for November 18-22 is a Recycling collection week!)
Residents are asked to have all materials at the curb by 6:00 A.M. on the day of collection.
Eco-Depot is a free service for Rhode Island residents who wish to dispose of their household hazardous waste safely and properly. We all have hazardous waste lurking in our homes-oven cleaner, window cleaner, flea collars, pool chemicals, nail polish remover, oil based paint in rusty old paint cans. This free service is available by appointment only.

East Providence, RI, The East Providence Public Works Department, Recycling/Refuse Division announces that the Columbus Day Holiday will result in a one day delay for all household refuse and yard waste regularly collected on Monday October 14, 2013 will be collected on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Tuesday's collection will be on Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday, Thursday on Friday and Friday on Saturday, October 19th. Residents are asked to have all materials at the curb by 6:00 A.M. on the day of collection.
This is an off week for recycling so no carts out this week~!!
Forbes Street Compost Site
open weekdays from 8am to 3pm.
East Providence residents may drop off leaves, grass and other vegetative material suitable for composting at the site. Residents must show a valid driver's license as proof of residency. Vehicles must be four wheel, registered in East Providence and with one ton capacity or less. NO commerical vehicels are permitted.
Incoming material must be loose; no plastic bags, no contaminates. Residents disposing of contaminated material will be issued a first warning; a second offense will result in the vehicle and resident banned for the year.
