Youth Programs

Activities for youth ages 6-17 focus on individual and team sports. Emphasis is placed on socialization skills through a variety of programs that encourage good sportsmanship and communication. Through these activities youth are afforded the opportunity to fine tune their leisure time into productive and acceptable group behaviors.

BASKETBALL

BABY BELLIES

Age 8-16    Wed. ~ 7:30-8:30PM   $5 p/class

BEAD WORKS (Jewelry Making)

Age 7-15  Thursday 4-5pm  4 calasses for $10 per child (project supplies included)

Session I: Oct. 6-27    Session II: Nov. 10, 17 & Dec 1, 8

FLOOR HOCKEY

KARATE

Age 6-14   Thurs. 7-8PM    10 weeks $45. p/child   Oct. 6-Dec. 15

ARTS & CRAFTS

Age 6-12   Tuesday. 4-5PM   Oct. 4-Dec. 6

KIDS CROCHET

Age 7-15  Wed. 4-5PM     $4 p/class  (crochet hooks & yarn provided)  Oct. 5-26

DANCE

TEEN WEIGHT TRAINING

Coed  Age 13-15   M, W, F  4-6PM  Begins Oct. 3rd

YOUTH COMMUNITY BAND 

Age 10-15  Mon & Wed   Oct 3-Dec 7

Beginner 5-6pm      Intermediate  6-7pm     Placement to be determined by age and experience.  Bring your own instrument or contact us for assistance with getting one.  Are you interested in playing Sax, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion or Strings?  Join our Band! 

SCHOOL BREAK FUN

The East Providence Department of Parks and Recreation will hold activities for youth members ages 6-14 during holiday school break, December 27-29

 

The Recreation Center will open at 12 noon for ages 6-14; ages 15-17 will be allowed in during their regular hours, 7-9pm.
