Water Pollution Control Division
Thomas White, SuperintendentThe Water Pollution Control Division is staffed by the Wastewater Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and 21 employees.
The Division provides treatment of wastewater within the guidlines mandated by EPA and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. Additionally, the division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of twenty-two (22) wastewater pumping stations located throughout the City.
The City's Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 1 Crest Avenue in Riverside is operational 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
