Emergency Management
The East Providence Emergency Management Agency is
part of the Homeland Security effort and is responsible for developing City
emergency response plans and standard operating procedures to deal with natural
and man-made hazards and terrorism incidents with weapons of mass destruction.
The Department coordinates the training of emergency shelter volunteers and
remains ready to open and operate shelters as needed in response to various
incidents.
